Making Small Businesses Profitable: BDD

Today’s feature is Timothy Akalu of Business Development Dispatch, also known as BDD!

BDD is a field service company that provides clients an alternative for hiring professional sales reps. What came into the market as a small initiative for change, is now a reputed organization with multiple clients. BDD also specializes in sales training and consulting, business development and many more solution services.

Inspired by Robert Stevens, Timothy believes his biggest hurdle, alike other start-ups was presenting his business model and essentially, getting through the initial stages of his entrepreneurial venture.

As BDD is a service provider, finding clients was also not easy. However, what kept Timothy going was his drive for change and his belief in his ideas. Being an entrepreneur, Timothy says he loves being able to “cultivate his own ideas” and be flexible in his journey.

Timothy’s believes that one needs to be willing to lose to gain more. For all the young and aspiring entrepreneurs; short-term profitability does not imply long-term success! Throughout your journey, you will come across many opportunities to make income, however it’s important to realize that you should always put your idea and your passion first.

Timothy started BDD with a vision to ensure excellence. Being able to step out of your comfort zone and looking past the negativity, are key in being prosperous for any start-up. According to Timothy, “there is no formula” for entrepreneurial success; rather, one just needs to execute their ideas and practise what they know. For more information on BDD, check them out at
